About this Event

Curious what philosophers think and say about environmental ethics and sustainability? Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking exploration of what it means to be (better) stewards of nature and our shared future.

This event offers an interactive space to reflect on big ideas about our relationship with the natural world. Through engaging discussions and thought-provoking activities, we’ll explore ways to philosophically think about our responsibilities to our islands and the planet. Maybe you’re new to these ideas, or perhaps you’ve been pondering them for years; maybe you’re rangatahi, or perhaps you’re pakeke – there’s something here for everyone. This seminar is designed to spark meaningful conversations and inspire you to consider what reasons we have to care for our environment and how to do it better.

Bring your curiosity, an open mind, perhaps a pen and paper for some notes, and a (reusable) cup of tea or coffee to keep you razor-sharp 🙂

Come and connect with like-minded others, share your thoughts, and learn from diverse philosophical perspectives.

This event is hosted by Philosophy at the University of Auckland and supported by the Philosophy in the Community Committee of the Australasian Association of Philosophy (AAP).
