DESCRIPTION:Join this Stream Monitoring event with Kaipātiki Project\, and become an agent of change for good\, caring for our precious awa! \nThis unique public session focuses on stream monitoring and collecting stream samples. \nSign up to spend the morning outdoors\, breathing in fresh forest air\, learning all about healthy streams\, enjoying conversations with like-minded people\, and appreciating a deep connection to nature! \nGuided by our expert ecologist\, these interactive sessions focus on stream monitoring and sample collection\, empowering you to contribute to real-world citizen science. Together\, we’ll assess stream health by exploring: \n\nWater quality\nStream life\nHabitat conditions\n\nWhether you’re a nature lover\, student or community member\, your participation truly helps protect and restore our local ecosystems. No prior experience needed—just curiosity and care for te taiao. \nCome along\, learn\, connect\, and make a difference—one stream at a time. \nBooking is essential\, as spaces are limited. \nThis event is part of the Community Flood Resilience initiative. Thanks to Auckland Council’s Healthy Waters for supporting this initiative! \n  \nDid you know that spending time in nature has proven to increase wellbeing?
