DESCRIPTION:This event has been postponed to Thursday 16th April 2026. \nA community day celebrating Waiheke’s youngest adventurers! \n🎯 Purpose\nTo promote Waiheke Island Playcentre and bring together the island’s early childhood and child-focused community\, showcasing all the opportunities available for families with young children and an opportunity to fundraise. \nThe Little Island Carnival is a family-friendly market and carnival day celebrating play\, learning\, and connection on Waiheke Island. \nLocal early childhood centres and child-focused community groups — like the Sea Scouts\, Toy Library\, and others — will each have a stall or activity\, creating a lively hub of games\, treats\, and discovery for families with children under six. \n🎈 Little Island Carnival — Play\, Learn\, Grow Together! \n\n\n🌻 Community Market — local stalls\, crafts\, and kids’ treats \n\n\n🍕 Fundraising Stalls — run by local early childhood centres and child-focused organisations \n\n\n🎠 Mini Carnival Zone — fun games\, prizes\, and activities \n\n\n🌿 Play & Explore — discover Playcentre’s unique learning environment \n\n\n🎨 Kids Zone — face painting\, crafts\, and sensory play \n\n\nThis is a Neighbours Aoteaora event funded by the Waiheke Local Board; its aim is to spark new neighbourhood connections and create a flourishing\, inclusive and resilient Waiheke together.
