SUMMARY:Moth Plant Removal Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a community moth plant removal workshop to help protect native plants and restore habitat while learning to remove moth plants effectively and safely. Location to be confirmed within the Howick District Ward. \nMoth plant is an invasive vine that smothers native vegetation and threatens local biodiversity. Together we’ll learn how to identify and safely remove it\, then roll up our sleeves and get hands-on in the bush. \nThis family-friendly event includes: \n\nBrief introduction to the moth plant and its impact\nDemonstration of safe removal techniques\nAll tools provided\nTime to connect with other nature champions\n\nWhether you’re a keen volunteer or just getting started\, your mahi makes a difference. Bring sturdy shoes\, water\, and sun protection and help take back our native spaces! Everyone is welcome. \nPlease note that we will be operating in off-track bush\, so please wear closed-toe shoes/boots\, long pants\, long-sleeved shirts\, and a hat/sunscreen to protect against the sun and scratches.
