About this Event
Ever wondered what to do with all the paper shopping bags and papers at home?
If you like writing, drawing, upcycling and paper… then we have a workshop for you!
Nau mai haere mai – come along and learn how to make your own paperbag journal pukapuka.
Whaea Cindy and Keri from Whare Hau Ako will help you learn all you need to know about creating a hand made journal using different papers, a paperbag and fabric as the cover, and binding it all together using thread.
We will supply all the things you need, but feel welcome to bring along any special papers to personalize your pukapuka.
Upcycling and creating something new from waste is not only fun, but it is also healing for the ngākau and te taiao. Looking forward to empowering you to learn, share knowledge and skills, and grow hauora.
Aroha mai tamariki mā (sorry tamariki), this wānanga is for pakeke (adults) only.
Cost: $27
