Sunnyvale Stream Spruce Up
About this Event
A new stretch of weedy wasteland is about to be transformed into a native habitat – and you’re invited to join us!
Come along and experience what it’s like to extend a stream restoration project into a neglected area on this Wai Horotiu Tributary. We’ll be weeding, tidying and mulching to get the new site ready for its first winter native planting.
You’ll learn about the process of ecological restoration, and join a community of like-minded folks who want to see Sunnyvale thrive.
No experience needed because our friendly stream ranger Alanah will guide you through it.
We’ll finish with refreshments together at the end.
Wear sturdy shoes and long sleeves, and bring a rain jacket and gardening gloves if you have them. All ages welcome, but kids must be supervised.
