About this Event
♻️Turn your trash into FREE clothes~♻️
For two weeks only, Manurewa Community Recycling Centre is giving away FREE clothes! In exchange for your non-kerbside recyclables, you can get up to 8 free articles of clothing, one for each category of recycling. 👚
The amounts for each category are, minimum:
🔵 10 clean metal and/or plastic lids – separated in metal pile and plastic pile
🧃 5 lined beverage cartons (also known as tetrapaks) – flattened, washed out and dried
📘 2 books for recycling
🔗 1 cup worth of scrap metal – clean metal pieces with no attached pieces of plastic, paper, etc.
📱 1 old mobile phone – working or not
👓 1 pair prescription glasses
🛍 1 bag worth of soft plastics and/or clean, pre-used Glad plastic products (such as glad wrap or ziplock bags)
🪥 1 other – “Solid” brand toothpaste jars or bottles, “Gillette” brand used razors or parts, or “Colgate” brand used bottles, toothpaste tubes, or toothbrushes
Please note:
⚠️ Staff have the final say whether the recyclables brought in meet the conditions for a free clothing item
‼️ All free items of clothing must be claimed on the day of the exchange
♻️ Recyclables NOT on this list are not eligible for exchange
👕 Only clothes priced at $2 and under are part of the free clothes exchange
📅 Promotion runs Tuesday 25 March – Saturday 5 April
