DESCRIPTION:This event has sold out. \nExperience Auckland’s largest wetland at a unique VIP kayak tour to raise funds for wetland restoration at Matuku Link on World Rivers Day. \nOnly once a year\, private properties allow kayak access to Te Henga Wetland over the Waitakere River\, as a fundraiser for the eco-restoration project Matuku Link. \nLimited tickets available for only $80 each\, all gear (kayaks\, paddles\, life vests\, etc.) and training provided. Suggested minimum age is 12 years. Start times in small groups for a two-hour paddle at 9 am\, 11 am\, 1 pm or 3 pm. \nMatuku Link is a community conservation and education project in Bethells/Te Henga\, restoring the wetland with plants from our own nursery\, protecting the wildlife and a wetland education program. The Waitakere River flows through Matuku Link and into the unique Te Henga wetland. \nHome baking & hot drinks included to provide you sustenance and the option to explore Matuku Link with a self-guided tour before or after your kayak. \nBookings required\, no door sales!
