About this Event
Join us for a volunteer shift at Fair Food! Our amazing volunteers work at our Avondale Hub, sorting surplus healthy and nutritious food donated by our partner organisations.
This kai is sorted and then redistributed to over 50 recipient charities, who create food parcels for people in need, including asylum seekers, young mums, and mental health support services.
On your first shift, you’ll be inducted to determine which food is fit to eat, cook and compost. With lots of parking, a bus stop right outside, and indoor bike storage, getting to our Hub is easy and convenient.
Hunger is in our backyard, and we are grateful to the people who want to help.
These volunteer sessions run Monday to Friday, 11.45am to 3pm.
