About this Event

Join us and unlock the ancient Korean secret to health and sustainability through the art of Kimchi making!

We’ll start by exploring how fermentation allows us to preserve New Zealand’s beautiful seasonal harvest while reducing food waste—a vital skill for self-sufficient living. You’ll learn to hand-craft Traditional Geotjeori, a vibrant and spicy, fresh Kimchi that’s ready to eat right away.

Then, we’ll dive into the refreshing world of NZ Seasonal Water Kimchi, a probiotic-rich, non-spicy version using local autumnal gems like kohlrabi and crisp apples. We’ll end the session by tasting our creations together with a warm cup of Korean tea and healthy snacks.

Bring along: Two clean glass jars (approx. 500ml – 1L), an apron, and your curiosity!

Connect with your people and take home the skills for a more self-sufficient, delicious lifestyle at this exciting event.

Cost: $50
