Protected bike paths and cycle lanes

Age: 14+

This course is for people who can already balance for a short distance in a big open space but struggle to steer reliably and want to gain the skills to use bike-only paths.

We’ll teach you how to safely navigate and ride on bike paths and build your confidence using a bike.

You’ll learn:

• how to check your bike and helmet are safe to use
• bike control skills (manoeuvring on a path, braking and gears)
• seeing and being seen skills, including how to look around and signal
• how to use the AT Mobile app to plan your journey on bike-only paths.

Bring your own bike or borrow one of ours.

Bookings are required for all ‘Adults learn to ride’ courses, as space is limited.
