Autumn Garden Planning at Kelmarna

As the summer garden starts to slow, it’s time to shift our thinking toward harvest through the cooler months. This workshop will give you the knowledge and confidence to design and plant an edible garden for nutritous harvest through autumn and into spring. Sarah will draw on her years of experience planning sowing and planting at Kelmarna to guide you in planning for your space, from balcony to backyard.

What to expect:

Join Kelmarna’s market garden manager Sarah in exploring the elements of a great cooler season garden. This workshop will cover how to extend your summer-crop harvest, what crops to sow and plant when, easy ways to improve soil fertility and how to respond to water and light in the autumn-winter garden. Participants will be given a resource sheet and a tray of seasonally appropriate seedlings to take home.
