Ever found a sick, injured or orphaned bird in need?

Wild birds need specialised care from dedicated rehabilitators or vets. The conditions of rescue can determine their recovery journey.

Each year, thousands of bird heroes bring their rescues to BirdCare Aotearoa- Auckland’s main Dept of Conservation-permitted native bird hospital.

Join this workshop to learn the best practises to safely rescue birds in need. The workshop will include a tour of our hospital facilities, and end with light refreshments- including home-grown kawakawa tea.

Connect with fellow bird lovers, and learn how to be the best bird hero. Together, let’s give our feathered friends the best chance to return to the wild!

This is a whānau-friendly event. All registrations will support the life-saving work of our charity.
