Citizen Science Day at Kohuora Park

About this Event

Kohuora Park in Papatoetoe is a wonderful park with native trees, a looped nature walk, wetland and stream.

Join us as we explore what’s living in this special urban oasis!

Learn Citizen Science techniques, including:
🦉 Bird surveys
💧 Stream testing
🌱 Plant identification
🐞 A classic bug hunt!

We’ll use both traditional methods and modern technology, including eDNA, iNaturalist, eBird, and Auckland Council’s Tiaki Conservation website.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Open to all ages—come for a little while or stay all day!
