Bring your food scraps and get fit as you learn to compost! Join us in caring for the active composting systems and worm farms at Ostend Garden.

This is a free weekly opportunity to get stuck in and learn by doing—taking climate action while creating beautiful, carbon-sequestering compost.

Ostend Garden is a community composting hub. Check out different composting systems, help process food scraps, garden “waste,” and carbon-rich organic material, and pick up tips to improve the way you compost. You’re welcome to bring your fresh household food scraps to process for free.

No matter where you are in your composting journey, you’ll find support, practical guidance, and plenty of compost chat.

This event runs every Friday during Ecofest, weather permitting (may be cancelled due to rain).
