About this Event
Languages:
Anxiety and depression are affecting Aucklanders across all ages and demographics. And with good reason. Many of us are inundated with scary news and hateful rhetoric on a daily basis.
Extinction Rebellion is a fierce defender of our planet against ecological collapse. We approach the challenges with compassion, knowing that each of us is fighting our own fight, be it external or internal. And that we need to take care of ourselves and each other on this journey.
If you or someone you care about is suffering from sadness, lethargy, or despair in the face of the climate crisis, this talk is for you.
Topics include:
Coping with uncertainty, anger, fear and grief – in a time of climate disaster
- acknowledging our predicament
- from anxiety to living connection
- reframing action.
Nāku, nāhau ka ora ai tātou. Ko te mahi me tōna hua e rite ana, e tika ana. Kia ngākau nui, kia hākoakoa, kia pai te wairua i roto i ēnei mahi, i ēnei āhuatanga katoa.
With your assistance and mine we will survive. The labour and results are one and the same, and valid. Be valiant and resolute, be buoyant, let your spirit be tranquil in these efforts, in all of these circumstances.
