Create a Terrace Garden

Join EcoMatters organic teaching garden designer and coordinator, Meg Liptrot, to create a community kai ‘terrace’ garden.

We will assemble an informal terrace on a slope of our community garden. Once the terraces are built, the beds will be backfilled and planted with kai for passersby.

Making use of free or low-cost resources, such as logs cut from a fallen tree in our garden (a casualty of cyclone Gabrielle), we can expand to the foraging potential of the street and demonstrate that food can be grown almost anywhere!

**No experience is necessary; our gardens are all about experimentation and trying new things.**

Tea, coffee, and filtered water are supplied.

• Please wear sturdy shoes or boots.
• Hats and gloves
• Bring a raincoat.
• Drink bottles, snacks
