About this Event
Denim Reimagined invites you to slow down, get creative, and see old jeans in a whole new way. Join us at RAFT Studios, learn how denim can be transformed into a unique art canvas or functional wall organizer. No art background is needed. Just curiosity and a willingness to experiment.
We’ll begin by taking apart old jeans and exploring the different textures, seams, and pockets that make denim such a versatile material. From there, you’ll learn how to stretch and fit the fabric over a canvas or frame, creating a strong base for your piece. The final stage brings everything together with simple painting techniques that add colour, personality, and detail. Along the way, we’ll pause for conversation, ideas, and a relaxed cup of tea.
This workshop is designed to be hands-on, social, and accessible. It’s about reuse, creativity, and enjoying the process rather than aiming for perfection. You’re welcome to bring along old jeans if you have some, but don’t worry if you don’t. We’ll have plenty available to use.
Connect with others, get creative, and take home a one-of-a-kind artwork at this relaxed and inspiring Ecofest event.
