Discover Nature Through Journaling
About this Event
Nature Journaling is a great way to get back to nature, bringing with it a sense of calm and well-being—an antidote to our busy, tech-driven lives.
We will discuss what Nature Journaling is, and through a series of prompts, you will soon be in a relaxed frame of mind, documenting your natural finds in words and sketches.
No artistic ability is required, just a desire to connect more with nature.
This is an ideal activity to do with children, and this could be the start of a lifetime love of the natural world around us.
With just the basics of paper and pencil, you will learn how to look at and recognise the things in nature that you appreciate and that bring you pleasure. You will leave with notes and ideas, allowing you to carry on at home, on holiday, or whenever you get the chance.
What better way to build a lasting creative connection with the environment!
Essential materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own art materials and sketchbook.
Bring a rug or chair to sit on. (Ideally, we will be outside, but if it is bad weather, we will be inside).
