Ecobrick-Making Workshop – Central Auckland
About this Event
Join us to transform soft plastic waste into sustainable building blocks called ecobricks!
We’ll give a demo on how to make an ecobrick (its super easy), provide all the materials and treat you to free snacks and hot drinks. Just bring a pair of scissors, any clean soft plastic waste you’ve got lying around, and a mug for drinks.
Hosted in the UoA Bee Sanctuary, a beautiful community garden on the University of Auckland Campus, this workshop is part of the Ecobrick Project run by ESD (Engineering for Sustainable Development). Since launching in 2024, the we’ve made around 20 000 plastic bags worth of ecobricks!
Be part of this awesome mahi- come along for some fresh air, tasty snacks and repurposing plastic waste into something meaningful!
