EcoPrinting Workshop at TRSS

You are welcome to Titirangi Rudolf Steiner School to learn about Eco printing! Eco printing is a creative, sustainable process which uses the natural pigments in plants to make unique, permanent and beautiful prints which can be used to make cards.

Each participant will take away at least 10 prints.

While the prints are simmering in a pot over an open fire, participants can enjoy a herbal tea brewed on the fire.

Hapazome is a Japanese word meaning ‘leaf-dye’. It involves transferring the colour and form of leaves and flowers to paper or cloth by pounding.

Beautiful results come from arranging the plant matter in aesthetic ways.

Participants will practice the technique and complete a small cotton gift bag to take away.

Age 14+ or children aged 9-14 are welcome with a supervising adult.
