Spend a morning in nature, meet friendly locals, and help restore one of Greenhithe’s most loved parks.

Be part of the Friends of Wainoni Park

This welcoming volunteer group meets Thursday mornings under the supervision of our facilitator Gary.
There’s a wide range of tasks to suit different fitness levels, making it a great way to connect with others while caring for our environment.

What you can get involved in

• Releasing native trees from weeds
• Pest plant control
• Preparing areas for native plantings
• Spreading mulch around native plantings
• Caring for the community edible garden
• Getting fit and forming new friendships

What to bring

Please bring a cold drink,  a sunhat, and sturdy shoes with good grip.
Long sleeves and trousers are recommended in some areas.
Morning tea is provided. Please bring a reusable cup if you would like a hot drink.
