Welcome to Kepa Bush Reserve!
Nga Kaitiaki Hapori o Pourewa – The Community Guardians of Pourewa would like to invite you to our Community Volunteer Day supporting Friends of Kepa Bush to take care of this precious remnant forest.
This amazing piece of bush sits in the heart of Auckland and is part of Pourewa Valley, a vital bird corridor for our feathered friends from the Hauraki Gulf islands. Join us to learn how to identify and remove pest plants that threaten this bush while working alongside other like-minded people to protect this unique space!
Where to meet: We will meet at the Thatcher Street entrance (35 Thatcher Street).
What to bring: some gardening gloves (we will have limited spares on sites), some sturdy covered shoes, weather protective gear, a bottle of water and your secateurs, if you have them!
Please note:
There are no toilets at the weeding site, so the nearest ones are at Eastridge Shopping Centre.
