Mahi tākaro and traditional Māori play strengthen bodies, build social connection, uphold whakapapa and tikanga, and spark creativity.

Come join Harko Brown (teacher & Māori games expert) as he creates aro-tākaro—implements of play—using natural resources from the park. Enjoy weaving, learning, and playing the traditional games connected to these taonga, with plenty of low‑impact participation and cultural sharing for everyone.
