Moth Plant Pod Competition – Papakura

Join us and help protect our native plants by taking part in South Auckland’s Moth Plant Pod Competition!

Moth plant spreads fast and smothers our native plants. This competition is your chance to take action for te taiao and bring people together.

Get your community group, whaanau, school, ECE or sports club involved and collect as many moth plant pods and seedlings as you can.

Drop your collections at one of our skip locations across South Auckland on set dates. The team that collects the most moth plant pods wins!

The competition runs from 2nd March to 8th May, with teams able to register at any time during this period.

This is a hands-on way to build team spirit, care for the environment, and back local action that makes a real difference.

Please wear gloves and suitable footwear when out hunting for pods.
