Biodynamics offers a holistic approach to growing, which can enhance any organic or regenerative growing system. It works with nature’s rhythms and uses the biodynamic ‘preparations’, 9 soil remedies made from plants and minerals, to create soil fertility and thriving, balanced ecosystems.
This workshop will introduce the biodynamic approach. We will cover the main principles and practices, and you will learn the simple steps needed to get started with biodynamics in your own gardens and properties.

You will have a hands-on experience of making a Biodynamic Tree Paste, which can be used to seal pruning cuts and also as a general fruit tree conditioner. Time permitting, we will stir and spread another Biodynamic preparation to leave the Ecomatter’s gardens glowing!

Bring a jar or similar if you would like to take some tree paste home with you.

Dress for the weather – part of this workshop will happen outdoors. Bring gloves (suitable for handling cow manure) and be sure to wear clothes that you can get dirty in.

Hot drinks and afternoon tea will be provided and afternoon tea.
