What is a repair cafe

A Repair Café is an event where people bring their loved broken or damaged items to be fixed for free, saving money and reducing the amount of material that ends up in landfill.

These are the items you can get repaired at a DEANZ Repair Cafe: 

• ​​Small electrical appliances: mixers, kettles, hair dryers, fans etc 
• Clothes: Patching, Hemming, being let out ​or taken in.
• Small items of furniture like a chair or coffee table
• Computers, laptops and electronics
• Bicycles
• General DIY: Toys and other items glued, nailed, screwed, stitched or checked for mechanical faults.

We do not repair microwaves and large appliances for safety reasons.
