Rodney Soils Workshop
About this Event
You CAN transform Rodney clay soils to friable topsoil using biochar, bokashi, and new composting techniques!
Since using gypsum does not work well in kaolinite clay soils these new methods work better. Come join us on one of two workshop dates, Thursday 16 April or Saturday 2 May on a banana farm. The 10 am to 3pm workshop is hands-on, with lots of demonstrations and handouts. Bring along a lunch, gumboots, hat and drink bottle.
Bring a section through your soil as well–instructions for taking the soil section and exact address will be supplied upon registering through Humanitix under Rodney Soils Workshop. We are encouraging rural lifestyle block owners to attend.
