About this Event
Join us and learn all about the Sanctuary Mahi Whenua Community Garden and Food Forest at our monthly working bee.
We’ll be doing our usual tasks of compost making, planting out our new vegetable seedlings, as well as our regular weeding and maintenance schedule. You will also be able tour the food forest and experience all the fun of being part of the Sanctuary Mahi Whenua community.
Bring along sturdy footwear, a sunhat or raincoat (depending on the weather on the day), and a drink bottle & snacks. We have no facilities on site, so be prepared for a day in the outdoors.
A great way to learn about nutrient-dense, organic gardening in the heart of the city.
The best entry to the Oakley Creek/Te Auaunga Walkway (to get to the Sanctuary), is opposite 1439 Great North Road by the Herdman Road bus stop.
You can view a beautiful hand sketched map of the area here https://www.sanctuaryunitec.garden/
