Upcycle Clothes into Crocheted Baskets

Unleash your creativity by learning to upcycle old clothes and sheets into amazing-looking crochet baskets. Clothing waste is a huge problem for our planet – this hands-on workshop led by the team at TāmakiWRAP is one alternative to the bin when your beloved clothes have gone past their best.

We’ll take you through the entire process of cutting up your old clothes to make “rag yarn” and crocheting this into round baskets.  It is not essential to know how to crochet to take part in this workshop, but it will help you get going if you know some very basic crochet. All materials provided, BYO sharp fabric scissors if you have some.
