About this Event
Languages: English, Te Reo Māori
Join us for an eventful day in the Māra gardens, learning by doing and enjoying time on the whenua. We’ll be weeding the gardens, working with vegetables, and sharing practical knowledge about how to plant and care for kai—from soil prep to planting tips that actually work.
Along the way there’ll be plenty of kōrero about growing vegetables, what thrives when, and how to look after the Māra through the seasons. Expect muddy hands, shared learning, connecting with others, and a good few laughs as we work together.
This is an easygoing and fun day to enjoy with friends and whānau. Come when you can, stay as long as you like, and leave whenever you need to.
Whether you’re keen to learn, help out, or just get your hands dirty and enjoy being outside, you’re more than welcome. We look forward to seeing you!
