About this Event

WilderFest (formerlly Pestival) is our fourth annual event dedicated to celebrating local community groups and organisations working hard to regenerate Waiheke Island’s biodiversity. The Waiheke Collective is a united network, working together to activate and amplify efforts towards a healthy, thriving natural environment on Waiheke.

This event will be full of kai trucks and educational stalls and inspiring talks, interactive workshops such as nature walks and kids activities run by local groups and projects such as Waiheke Marine Project, Te Korowai o Waiheke and WRT’s Love our Wetlands project.

We are proud that this year WilderFest will be hosted in conjunction to Music in Parks at Rangihoa (Onetangi Sports Park). Music in Parks is an Auckland Council-run series of carbon-neutral concerts around Tāmaki Makaurau and is the greenest music festival currently held in Aotearoa, thanks to the entire staging, sound and lighting rigs being powered by solar energy!

This is a true zero waste event; there will be no single-use packaging so BYO cups and plates to enjoy tasty offerings from our vendors.
