Waiuku Predator Trap Library Open Day

About this Event

Join us for a fun, drop-in session and learn how to protect our native wildlife right in your own backyard!

Swing by anytime and explore a range of traps you can borrow at low cost—making it easy to get started with predator control. We’ll show you how to set, check, and maintain traps safely, with tips to target pests while keeping native species safe. Bring the kids, get creative with our colouring competition, and admire a display of beautiful shorebird paintings from Monday’s bird-count session.

Chat with friendly volunteers, share tips, and discover resources to make your neighbourhood—or lifestyle block—a haven for native wildlife. Whether you’re new to trapping or a seasoned pro, there’s something for everyone to try, learn, and enjoy!
