Why Carpooling Never Took Off – Henderson

About this Event

Carpooling has been promised as a solution to congestion and emissions for decades, yet it’s never really worked at scale. Why?

This talk goes into why I think carpooling hasn’t taken off, from trust and safety concerns to poor design and broken incentives.
We’ll then introduce Carpoolin, a New Zealand-built platform designed for everyday travel, and unpack the design, safety, and business model choices behind it.

And we’ll wrap up by taking questions from the audience.
