EcoFest 2013

EcoFest will take place between 1-31 March with events in West Auckland and the Greater North Shore.
EcoWest has something for everyone, from those of you just curious about what sustainability is and what’s happening in your community, to those of you already using sustainable practices or mucking in regularly.
You can use events to gather information and products/resources, or get actively involved in improving our environment.
The EcoWest programme includes:
- The Portage Whau Waka Challenge
- Weekly film nights
- Interactive seminars and workshops
- Art exhibits and displays
- Tours and walks
- Environmental action days
- EcoDay (one of Auckland’s largest sustainable living events)
EcoWest covers central-west, west and north-west areas and is organised by EcoMatters Environment Trust.

EcoFest aims to bring together and promote events that are fun, informative, and inspire people to try, and choose, more sustainable ways of living.
Community environmental organisations and businesses with a sustainability focus will have an opportunity to showcase what they do by organising an event, sharing information or expertise, or supporting the festival with sponsorship or promotional assistance.
EcoFest North covers the North Shore up to and including Orewa and is organised by Kaipatiki Project.
