About this Event
Nau mai, haere mai! Join us on a guided walk along the Waikumete Stream at Ōkaurirahi / Kaurilands Domain and Ceramco Park.
Go off the beaten track to meet the native plant species that provide a haven for stream and birdlife, and discover hidden scenic spots along the way. Hear about the history, ecology and community art along the path, and see how it has been transformed as part of Project Twin Streams Glen Eden.
We’ll meet at the Atkinson Road carpark and make our way towards Ceramco Park together. Kids are welcome but must be supervised.
Your friendly guides will be Pam and Alanah, stream rangers from EcoMatters who have been collaborating with community on restoring the stream at Ōkaurirahi for more than 15 years.
This is a Project Twin Streams event supported by the Waitākere Ranges Local Board.
Cost: Free
Registration/Ticket Info:
No registration needed. Meet at the Atkinson Road carpark of Ōkaurirahi / Kaurilands Domain ready to start at 10am.
