About this Event
Be the change you want to see. Join a friendly bunch, of community minded environmentalists – and give our natives trees a chance!
Spend the morning at the beautiful Shepherds Park amongst the vibrant birdlife. We will get cracking to remove the park’s top five invasive weeds:
– Honeysuckle
– Jasmine
– Cape Ivy
– Banana Passion Vine
– Privet (seedlings)
We will spot and report these weeds to council contractors:
– Climbing asparagus
– Moth plant
– Wild ginger
What to bring:
- A good sense of humour & can do attitude
- Wear sturdy clean shoes
- Gardening gloves & weeding tools if you have them. Some will be available for your use.
- A keen eye for spotting invasive weeds
- Your own water bottle
Meet at the Fale / Heritage Shelter Shepherds Park.
No previous experience necessary: Basic training will be provided.
Followed by coffee / tea and morning tea.
