VIP Kayak Day on the Te Henga Wetland – Sold Out

Experience Auckland’s largest wetland at a unique VIP kayak tour to raise funds for wetland restoration at Matuku Link on World Rivers Day.

Only once a year, private properties allow kayak access to Te Henga Wetland over the Waitakere River, as a fundraiser for the eco-restoration project Matuku Link.

Limited tickets available for only $80 each, all gear (kayaks, paddles, life vests, etc.) and training provided. Suggested minimum age is 12 years. Start times in small groups for a two-hour paddle at 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm or 3 pm.

Matuku Link is a community conservation and education project in Bethells/Te Henga, restoring the wetland with plants from our own nursery, protecting the wildlife and a wetland education program. The Waitakere River flows through Matuku Link and into the unique Te Henga wetland.

Home baking & hot drinks included to provide you sustenance and the option to explore Matuku Link with a self-guided tour before or after your kayak.
